[2025 Update] Influenza Vaccine Now Trivalent – Available at BLEZ Clinic for 880 THB (including doctor’s consultation)

In 2025, the World Health Organization (WHO) officially recommended switching from quadrivalent (4-strain) to trivalent (3-strain) influenza vaccines.
In response to this global guidance, BLEZ Clinic (Asoke and Phrom Phong branches) will switch to the trivalent vaccine as soon as the current quadrivalent is out of stock.
The new price is 880 THB (including doctor’s consultation), making it more accessible for everyone
What’s the Difference Between Trivalent and Quadrivalent Vaccines?
There are two main types of seasonal influenza vaccines:
- Quadrivalent: Includes 2 strains of influenza A (H1N1 and H3N2) and 2 strains of influenza B (Victoria and Yamagata lineages)
- Trivalent: Includes 2 strains of influenza A and 1 strain of influenza B (Victoria lineage only)
Why Switch from 4-Strain to 3-Strain?
The Yamagata lineage of influenza B viruses has not been detected globally since 2020. As a result, the quadrivalent vaccine’s inclusion of this strain is no longer considered necessary.
“There have been no confirmed human cases of Yamagata-lineage strain B viruses since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
“For the 2025–2026 Northern Hemisphere season, only the Victoria lineage is recommended for the B component in trivalent vaccines.”

Following these recommendations, BLEZ Clinic will offer the trivalent vaccine starting in the 2025 season.

When Is the Best Time to Get Vaccination in Thailand?

※ The data presented in the graph above is based on laboratory-confirmed influenza cases in Thailand, reported to the WHO FluNet database.
(Source: WHO FluNet)
Influenza in Thailand typically follows a bimodal pattern, with two peak seasons:
- Monsoon season: May to October (with peak activity from June to September)
- Winter season: December to February (or January to March in some regions)
To stay protected, we recommend getting vaccinated between May and July, or again around October to November.
It generally takes about two weeks after vaccination for your immune system to build effective protection.

Q. Can I walk in without a reservation?
→ Walk-ins are accepted, but we recommend contacting us first via LINE or phone to check availability and reduce waiting time.
